Wednesday:
After an early start from Bristol we arrived at Torquay to torrential rain – not the usual conference weather we’ve been treated to over the past few years! Good news was that we got straight into the conference hall and was able to set the stand up by 11.00. The bad news was that the weather had taken it’s toll on the course at the Palace Hotel and the charity Golf tournament was abandoned and I wasn’t able to defend my title this year.
In the Afternoon, Natasha attended the WISH AGM which had been sponsored by BRC. It was an excellent opportunity for Natasha to meet some of the most influential mangers in Social housing in the South West, many familiar names and faces, some new to us.
The exhibition opened at 6pm with jugglers, magicians and a nice relaxed atmosphere. It was our first opportunity to speak to delegates at our stand as they mingled and it was good to catch up with some of our clients about the issues of the day.
Once the exhibition was closed we headed off to Torquay for a bite to eat, then back to the hotel to meet with a few clients.
